Senior Pastor

Rev. Hosea is known for his friendly and warm personalities. He is a hard-worker who loves the Lord and his congregation. He made a commitment to serve God at the age of 14 while he was in Pematang Siantar, North Sumatra, Indonesia. After completing his Bachelor of Theology at Southeast Asia Bible Seminary (SAAT) – Malang in 1981, he went to Azusa Pacific University to continue his study for Bachelor of Art and Master of Art in Religion in 1983. To support his ministry in counseling, Rev. Hosea continued his study for Master of Art in Marriage Family Child Counseling (MFCC) in 1984 and received his Doctor of Philosophy in Marriage Family Child Counseling from California Graduate School of Psychology – Corte Madera in 1996.

His ministry started when he served in Christ Church (Gereja Kristus Tuhan) in Kediri, East Java. Then he became Assistant Pastor in Church of Share the Gospel (Gereja Beritakan Injil) in Jakarta before he left to continue his study in the United States. Rev. Hosea served in IEC – Los Angeles until 1984 when he moved to San Francisco. He continues to faithfully serve the Lord in IEC – San Francisco, San Jose, Sacramento, and San Diego until now. He is also the President of Christian Evangelical Mission in West Coast since 1993, serves as Senior Pastor in Chinese Evangelical Church – San Francisco, and the President of Christian Evangelical Chinese School – San Francisco.
